You are not lost for good food here in Leeds, but for some affordable fine dining I recommend looking no further than Gusto’s on Greek Street.
The first time I came here was for a friends birthday and the food was just perfection. So, when I was invited to an exclusive bloggers dinner, I wasn’t going to turn down this opportunity. Arriving on a Thursday night, I was greeted at the door by a lovely member of staff and taken straight towards then bar for a cocktail…
I ordered a pink grapefruit martini, because I am obsessed with the tangy taste of the fruit. Gusto’s cocktail menu is to die for. After all the other bloggers arrived, we settled down at our beautifully decorated table for a three course dinner.
The dishes on offer were from Gusto’s new Spring menu and boy are you spoilt for choice. We started with an Antipasti board full of lovely meat and cheeses. I oh course loved all the cheeses, particularly the Yorkshire Blue.
The food is absolutely delicious, my favourite dish in particular was the Beef Fillet Carpaccio Salad; which I would order again in a heartbeat. The meat was cook to a perfect medium rare which is just fine for me. A very light option if you are planning to have a full couple dishes. Served with garlic & rosemary potatoes which complimented the dish.
Overall, the evening was enjoyable with delightful company. I cannot wait to go back to Gusto’s soon. I am very much thinking of taking my mum as a treat for when she next comes up to Leeds. It is the perfect place to entertain family or take someone special for a gorgeous date.
